Khilafat-e-Isakhelistan

Khilafat-e-Isakhelistan flag

Khilafat-e-Isakhelistan is a micro-nation in Pakistan. Their flag features a crescent, a sickle, and the Zulfiqar, symbolising Islam, socialism, and justice. Their military, lead by Malik Ahmad, is comprised of a standing army of six soldiers.

The small nation has apparently had a very turbulent history, with a civil conflict resulting in the dissolution of Shabbiristan and the establishment of this micro-Khilafat. They also have a national anthem:

Their capital, Mohalla Khizarkhel, is a few kilometres away from Khaglan Wala, Mianwali District, Punjab. They have their own ID carrds, but not passports. Shariah was adopted as the state constitution. Their constitution also stipulates the following:

- People will work as per their abilities, but everyone will have access to basic necessities like food, clean water and housing.

- The state owns resources which cannot be moved - e.g. land. Citizens own possessions they can carry around, like cars or cellphones.

- Everyone is free to follow any religion.

- It is illegal to disrespect any religion/holy books.

- Legal/criminal matters for minority religions will be decided as per the laws of their own books; e.g. Gita for the Hindus and the Holy Bible for the Christians.

- The army can’t interfere in politics.

- Every able-bodied man must serve the military for 3 years.

- Everyone is equal.
